Purchases
Payments are processed through Stripe Managed Payments, where Link acts as merchant of record. Stripe/Link processes payment details, tax, fraud prevention, receipts and transaction support under its own privacy information. We receive only the purchase information needed to deliver and support the software licence, such as the checkout reference, email address, billing country, product and payment status. We do not receive or store full card details.
Licence activation and trials
For licence delivery and activation we process a hashed licence key, an installation identifier in hashed form, platform and architecture, an optional device label, activation timestamps, purchase reference, email address and licence status. The server does not store the readable licence key; it is derived securely from the purchase reference when needed. Trial activation stores a hashed installation identifier and trial dates.
Purpose and legal basis
We process this information to perform the software-licence contract, prevent misuse, provide device changes and support, comply with legal obligations and protect the security of the service. We retain licence records while the licence and related legal or support obligations remain relevant.
DocStudio content and AI services
Your local documents are not uploaded to our licensing service. If you choose a feature that calls an external AI provider with your own API key, the selected content is sent directly to that provider as necessary for the request and is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
Infrastructure
The website and licence API use Cloudflare infrastructure. Payment processing uses Stripe/Link. These providers may process technical data such as IP addresses, request logs and security signals to operate and protect their services.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may complain to a competent data-protection authority. Contact us at the address above. Some purchase and licence records may need to be retained to meet contractual, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal obligations.
